Scabos, our most vibrant and multi-colored travertine, is only available from one place in the world, Afyon province in Turkey (Afyon is Turkish for opium).  Its highly variegated patterning makes it ideal in kitchens and front entrance ways, greeting you and your guests with a sense of exotic warmth.  Because of its elaborate patterning, it will always feel like a clean surface.

Its color variation is predominately golden with bold washes of browns, reds, crystallized creams, and occasional 'poppy seeds' of black.

Our cobbled-edge version tends to get greater color variation with some pieces being composed entirely of alabaster-like crystal or deep burgandy reds.  It comes in a pre-packaged four-size pattern designed to instill a true 'old world' feel.
