Desert Pearl slate is an extremely hard, light colored, quartzite slate.  Its color range is predominately creams, rusts, and light greys.  This slate can either be sealed with Miton 42, to enhance the colors fully (shown) or with 511 Impregnator to keep a lighter tone and feel to the finish. 

Desert Pearl has a nice "rocky" texture which feels wonderfully invigorating on the feet without being uncomfortable.  As such, it's suited wonderfully in bathrooms.
