Black Pearl, one of our Brazilian slates, comes in tiles of perfect dimensions; they are always square, they are always exactly 3/8" (9mm) thick.  In fact, tile setters often remark how similar they are to rectified porcelain.

The variation in Black Pearl is primarily in the ratio of charcoal to blacks; it can be rare to find pieces that are all black.  Definitely expect a mixed bag.

Black Pearl is an exterior, commercial grade slate that can easily withstand harsh Canadian winters.
