The honed version of Beach Sand tends to be lighter in tone than the cleft Beach Sand.  It feels smooth to the touch but has a visual texture remniscent of cork.

Beach Sand, Honed is an interior only slate and, while it will hold up in a front entrance way, it should not be used in showers.  This tile is suited for flooring installations only in light-commercial settings such as small volume retail.
